Accept. Believe. Choose.

Yes…I’ve lost a few pounds 🙂

And while I haven’t shared much about my journey, people have definitely noticed.

Friends and family have mentioned it. Attendees and speakers at events acknowledge my physical change. And my clients have applauded.

And as I talk with all of them, can you guess the question I get most?

Yep. You probably guessed it:

“How did you do it?”

And you know what my answer is? I tell them “you already know”.

There’s no big secret to losing weight. Just like there’s no big secret to saving more money, starting a business, building better relationships, advancing in your career or any other goal you may have.

If a friend asked you for advice in any of these areas – you could probably give it to them.

The better question to ask is: if you already know what to do, and you’re not doing it, what mindset shift must you make to take action?

Here’s how you can begin to answer that question using health and weight as the example.

1. ACCEPT the truth about what it really takes to get the results you want. (Accept that health and eating habits must change.)

2. BELIEVE that when you do it, you will reach your goal. (Believe that eating less, making healthier options and exercising consistently would result in a physical change.)

3. CHOOSE the combination of support mechanisms that work best for YOU to get the results you want (Choose food delivery service, private chef, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, surgery, personal trainer, nutritionist, therapist, bootcamp, gym membership, workout buddy, going vegan, cutting sugar, being a vegetarian, reducing carbs, workout videos, daily walks, meal prepping, spending weeks or months at weight loss resort, going on weight loss reality show, health coach).

4. And of course, be CONSISTENT.

Accept. Believe. Choose. Consistent.

What goals have you been working on that you haven’t been able to accomplish?

Are there some areas in your life where you need to accept, believe and choose?

If so, I invite you to join me at my upcoming RADICAL Success Intensive.

A 3-day immersion experience where you will be challenged to deepen the learning about who you are, why you are and position yourself to move forward in action.

During our time together, you’ll create a mindset shift that will empower you to manage fear, increase confidence, move past procrastination and set you up with your personalized goal achievement strategy.

It’s a candid, straightforward and open dialogue on the unconscious and conscious beliefs that drive your habits, behaviors and actions. You’ll be challenged to examine yourself with honest, authentic, blunt, truthful and direct reflection.

You’ll have the opportunity to get to know you in a way that you’ve never experienced before. To gain a better understanding of your authentic goals, core values, belief systems, deserve level, necessary boundaries and required actions.

  • Doreen, thank you for sharing Accept. Believe. Choose. It helps me look through my health and wellness journey through a different set of lenses. My weight loss goal has been at the top of my list for over 10 years and overtime it has been going, growing in the wrong directions. Today, I plan to take heed with what you have shared and focus on the goal and not the struggle and may I add to truly, sincerely begin again is my prayer.
