  • This is my first time listening to you and boy oh boy, did you hit me dead on in my behind! Thank you! I have gotten so far away from my dreams and desires. I am 61 and 3/4 years old and one of the things that go over and over in my head is, “Girl, you are too old to start a dream now!” I’m a gospel singer and my dream all my life was to sing gospel for a living, however, it just didn’t seem to be in the cards for me. I have had the opportunity to write a book and go to Nashville, and record my first CD! I thought I’d never finish college (after starting late in life) but after 18 year (having to stop four times, three times due to having to take care of my grandparents – grandfather with stage four cancer and grandmother with Dementia and being fired from my job at the college) I finally finished obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree!!! Then I was determined to get my Master’s and completed it online! Now, I’m still sitting in a secretaries position and feel like I’ve not done all I could do to move ahead – my mind telling me, I’m too old to start over. I’m a mother of two, grandmother of four, pastor’s wife, church musician, President of my professional organization, I have a Wednesday Encouraging Word, that I send out to a mass of people ever week, I’m into my second year of hosting a Cancer Benefit Gospel Concert, instead of celebrating my birthday, had the weight loss surgery four years ago, losing 131 lbs. But, I’m still not where I’d like to be in life. I’m truly grateful for all God has allowed me to be and to achieve, but I feel a void in my life. Just listening to you for the first time today, has energized me into gear again. I picked up 30 lbs., which I have been fooling myself to think I’m working on getting it off – no, I’ve not been as disciplined as I should be. But, I’m ready now to put things into perspective and work on me again! As I head towards retirement, I keep telling myself, my life will begin again. Then that small voice says, “Girl, you’re too old!” Well, age is just a number and God has control over both, so I’m going to work as if I was just getting started. I will sit down tonight and plan out my dream. I know I can do it, I’m an organizer and love being organized. I even started a business several years ago, “Integrity Consulting Services,” but I just couldn’t get it off the ground. At the office, I’m often pulled because of my organizational skills. I have a bit of pep back, and all it took was to hear you talk about putting things back into perspective and not allowing anything kill your dreams. I will join your Podcast. So, thank you so much for your encouragement, and I pray God will continue to use you in this manner – you never know who you will inspire. Blessings, Sis. C

    • Thanks for listening newbie! 🙂
You are so on point with so many things – recognizing what you need to do to lose the weight, realizing that you’re not too old and looking at all the things you have going on and focus only on those that align with your purpose.

And you don’t have to wait for retirement for your life to begin again – start looking at ways now you can do the things you really want to do.

  • Thank You so much for your podcast. I have been stuck in my cycle for two decades now, and although have made some steps and strides, I have yet to erase this one part of my life.

And in your podcast today you spoke every DREAM I have. The travel, philanthropy, and legacy.

Yesterday, I agreed to be a facilitator for something completely out of my zone, So again I Thank You for your confirmation, and advice and I just registered for your free training, Your podcast has helped me greatly and I look forward to the day that my cycle will be non-existent. PS I have to catch up on your Podcast for this month but I have pretty much caught every episode.

    • YES to doing something out of your comfort zone! That’s where the growth takes place. Two decades is a long time to have the same goals, but it’s great to see you taking steps. Thanks so much for listening. Keep me posted on your progress!

  • This episode was very informing and powerful. In a synopsis: within the last year I’ve been working more and more on my inner self. When you honed in on Integrity, I did cringed a little bit. Some years ago I willingly engaged in something not so moral. It effected families on both sides, the church family, and the community. It took a toll on me too, but I made my bed and I had to lie in it (so to speak). Who would have ever thought I would have done such a thing, but it happened and I had to find a way overcome it.

Integrity is hard to regain when it’s been affected. Long story short, I made a public apology, asked God for forgiveness, but it took a long time to forgive myself. It was during this time I didn’t think anyone wanted to buy anything I had to offer, let alone support me anymore. I had written one book at the time and felt like I had negated almost everything I had written. I honestly know my purpose and what God has created me to do on this EARTH, but I lost sight and ALMOST gave it up when I faltered.

I now have found a way to bounce back and everyday I encourage myself first and go hard to make all my dreams reality. It’s a challenge everyday, but I do it and as much as is within me have always tried to make my word my bond. I know my ‘it’ will happen. No questions about it! This entire episode has been a blessing! Thank You!

    • Wow! Your thoughts were right on the button. I didn’t realize how our subconscious mind can destroy our dreams and visions by the silent dream killers.
Your podcast made me get up and do a couple of things I have been wanting to do for my dream of finishing my sequel novel that I believe is important for our society. It happens to be about our beliefs and hopes. Your podcast is so on target.
Thank you for your time and effort. You are so appreciated!
